Drager Polytron Ex was a continuous monitor of combustible gases and vapours using a poison resistant catalytic bead sensor and delivered a proportional 4-20mA industry standard output relative to gas concentration. Gas readings were measured using the Lower Explosive Limit. Two options were available 0 to 10 %LEL, low concentration (LC) good for advanced notification or leak detection applications. Or 0-100% LEL default setting. The transmitter was designed for harsh industrial applications. Approved for use in Zone One and Two areas.
- Electrical supply Input 10 to 30 V DC (nominal 24 V DC).
- Housing IP 65, glass-fibre reinforced polyester (GRP).
- For hard to access areas remote sensor option.
- LC-display and calibration elements located at the front were intrinsically safe. No additional zener barrier was necessary.
