The Drager Polytron 8200 CAT is a continuous fixed gas monitor for flammable gases using a catalytic bead sensor, designed to provide long term zero stability, fast reaction and long service life. Compatibility with most control systems is possible, outputs include a three-wire 4-20mA and Hart, Modbus and Fieldbus. Drager Polytron 8200 CAT also includes data logging used to record readings and retrieve past event information. Approved for use in hazardous areas, a magnetic wand facilitates operation of the transmitter without the need for opening the face so no need to declassify an area.
If required a remote sensor can be installed at a maximum distance of 30 meters away from the transmitter, calibration can be performed by a lone worker at the transmitter.
