The Dräger Polytron 8200 CAT is a continuous fixed gas monitor for flammable gases that uses a catalytic bead sensor and is designed to provide long-term zero stability, fast reaction times, and a long service life, reducing ownership costs. The DQ sensor’s measuring range is 0 to 100% LEL; a low-concentration option (LC) is also available, ranging from 0 to 10% LEL.
It is compatible with most control systems. Outputs include a three-wire 4-20mA signal and support for HART, Modbus, and Fieldbus protocols. The Polytron 8200 also provides data logging to record readings and retrieve past event information. Approved for use in hazardous areas, a magnetic wand enables operation without opening the face, eliminating the need to declassify an area. A lone worker can calibrate the transmitter.
If required, a remote sensor can be installed up to 30 meters from the transmitter.

Order Information
The E model includes a docking station, eliminating the need for conduit during installation in zoned areas. D versions have no docking station. Versions are available with three relays, allowing the detector to operate as a standalone system.
