The Honeywell Sensepoint range covers flammable, toxic and oxygen gases, providing a high-quality, low-cost solution. Suitable for new and retrofit applications, easy to install or replace.
To ensure safety while installing in potentially explosive atmospheres, it is necessary to use an appropriate Ex d or EX e approved junction box. Sensepoint has industry-standard outputs that can be connected to either Honeywell Analytics’ controllers or third-party DCS/PLC systems. Both flammable and toxic versions are certified to meet ATEX and IECEx standards.
The flammable detector comes in two versions – %LEL or PPM detection range. It offers an mV bridge output. Typically, the detector lasts for more than five years. After that, it can be easily replaced with a new one.
The toxic detectors come pre-calibrated, making them easy to install. They offer a 2-wire 4-20mA loop output, and user connections are Ex d. The front-end design is intrinsically safe (IS), allowing for easy sensor replacement while powered. Additionally, the IS design eliminates the need for a sinter, enabling a fast response time and detecting “sticky” gases, such as Chlorine and Ammonia.
Sensepoint high-temperature sensor detects combustible gases in hazardous areas like turbine enclosures and drying ovens. It provides reliable and stable detection with low-level alarm settings across a wide temperature range. It uses Sieger poison-resistant combustible gas detection elements to achieve this, allowing alarm trip points as low as 5% LEL (-55°C to +150°C). The gas measuring range can be configured from 0-20% LEL to 0-100% LEL.
