The Drager X-am 7000 is now being phased out the replacement model is the X-am 8000. The detector can monitor five gases a simultaneously. Choose from twenty five sensors which can be interchanged with the detector automatically recognising available pre-calibrated sensors, without further configuration, calibration or tweaking. Up to one hundred gases and vapors can be detected providing unparalleled flexibility for a multitude of applications. Typical sensor lifetime is over five years.
The Drager X-am 7000 can accommodate two Infrared, two Catalytic Bead (for combustible) or two Photoionisation (PID) sensors and up to three electrochemical sensors. Included as standard is a rubber-boot, carrying strap, calibration adapter, water and dust filter. Menus are designed to be initiative with TWA and STEL features easily activated and viewed.
In tracking mode the X-am 7000 can act as a leak detector with audible beeps becoming louder once the source is reached.
There is a choice of two rechargeable battery packs NiMH. A standard version gives at least nine hours version or 20 hours is possible with the extended version. Alternatively an alkaline power pack option is available providing 20 hours.
The X-am 7000 has a large graphical display with a built in auto zoom feature during alarm, for fast visual recognition during a hazard. To insure detector performance a self test is performed every six seconds.
