A combustible fixed gas detector for the ambient air. Two flammable sensor choices were available, a highly sensitive catalytic bead sensor providing fast response time or a poison resistant infrared sensor. The IR sensor had a longer life span and was chosen in areas where other gases maybe present that could damage a catalytic bead sensor.
A lone operator could execute set up of the Drager Polytron 2 XP EX without the requirement for making an area safe by use of an infra red remote control. Menu access was also possible by using a portable Hart device or the transmitter buttons.
Model choice was dependent on approvals required and if the relay option is chosen. The relay option gave two alarm settings and one fault allowing communication with warning instruments on site providing a standalone system, removing the need for a central controller.
- Measurement: Combustible gases and vapors; 0 to 100 %LEL
- Outputs Analogue 4-20mA output and digital outputs HART and RS 485 interface
- Backlit LCD; 2 lines, 20 characters; resolution 1 %LEL. Menu structure and messages in real text
- Rapid accurate response
- Non-intrusive calibration
