The Simtronics DF-TV7 MultiFlame series by Teledyne is designed to detect fires whilst minimising false alarms. Equipped with an intelligent self-test ensuring the optical path is clear and that the detector is operating correctly. It is certified and can be installed in a SIL2-level system. Connecting to a wide range of traditional or fire controllers and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Supplied with a configurable 4-20mA or 0-22mA (PLC) output, two configurable alarm relays, and two detector status LEDs. HART 7 and optional Syntel.
The unit is fully configurable using a wireless hand-held terminal (TLU600) or optionally via HART (TM), giving true flexibility to the installer. Time delays, sensitivity and output configuration, are set up via the TLU, a hazardous area-approved hand-held unit. Wireless testing of the optical and output circuits is also possible using the TLU for guaranteed ease of maintenance.
The MultiFlame range has two versions:
- DF-TV7-T multi-spectrum Infrared flame detector using three wavelengths. Used in dirty environments for detection of hydrocarbon and smoky fires. SIL3 certified.
- DF-TV7-V multi-flame combined ultraviolet /infrared flame detector. Used in challenging environmental conditions, such as combined rain and wind, rapid sunshine variations, hot sources modulations, industrial lighting etc. UV can be sensitive to welding radiation or lightning, X rays and gamma rays. SIL2 certified.

The MultiFlame models are also available in an addressable network system with distributed intelligence SYNTEL. This version is named DF-RV7.
