The Stuart US152D Stirring Hotplate by Cole Parmer has plate dimensions of 150mm by 150mm with heating across the full surface area. Power is 0.7kW. The maximum temperature is 325°C. By inserting the optional SCT1 probe into the sample, the liquid temperature can be digitally controlled. The aluminium silicon surface allows excellent heat conduction and can withstand daily knocks. Ceramic coating provides a chemically resistant surface. A light displays when the temperature exceeds 50°C, warning the operator of the surface heat, even if unplugged.
Powerful magnets and a motor provide the stirring action, speed is adjustable between 100 to 2000 rpm, mixing volumes up to fifteen litres for single stirring operation only. The combination of mixing heating provides excellent temperature uniformity throughout the sample.
Stirring and Temperature control is analogue operated by the two separate knobs at the front of the hotplate stirrer. The temperature is shown on a digital display as the surface plate heats to set temperature. Supplied complete fitting for retort rod, 2 x 25mm PTFE coated stir bars and power cord.
