The Stuart UC152D Stirring Undergrad Hotplate by Cole Parmer provides a Digital display of surface temperature. Plate dimensions are 150mm x 150mm with a 120mm x 120mm heated zone and a maximum temperature of 450°C. By inserting the optional SCT1 probe into the sample, the liquid temperature can be digitally controlled.
Powerful magnets and a motor provide the stirring action, speed is adjustable between 100 to 2000 rpm, mixing volumes up to fifteen litres for single stirring operation only. The combination of mixing heating provides excellent temperature uniformity throughout the sample.
The white ceramic plate provides an excellent backdrop to see colour changes in liquid quickly. Chemical resistant and straightforward to clean. The edges remain cold, preventing accidental burns. A light displays when the surface temperature exceeds 50°C, warning the operator, even if unplugged.
Two knobs operate stirring and temperature control at the front of the hotplate stirrer. Supplied complete fitting for retort rod, 2 x 25mm PTFE coated stir bars and power cord.
