Stuart SMP10 Digital Melting Point Apparatus by Cole Parmer is ideal for use in education. The maximum temperature is 300°C. To operate set the desired plateau temperature using the three-digit LED digital display and press start, the SMP10 will heat and remain at the set temperature. When the operator is ready to conduct the test, insert the tube samples and press start, the temperature will then climb slowly for increased accuracy ( 2°C a minute). Once the sample is seen to melt, press stop, and record the temperature, allow sufficient sample cooling time. It is possible to run two tests simultaneously. Multi-language instructions for operation are printed on the front of the instrument.
To aid observation of the melting point, the back feet can be raised, allowing the optimum viewing angle. A magnifying lens and illumination enable a clear vision of tests.
- Digital setting and temperature measurement provides repeatability
- Productivity test more than one sample
- Plateau can be heating up while executing other tasks
- Designed for optimum safety
- Digital Temperature displayed to 1°C resolution
- All units come with a with calibration certificate referencing serial number for traceability.
