The Stuart SB302 Stirring Hotplate by Cole Parmer has plate dimensions 300mm by 300mm with heating across the entire area. The compact design uses less storage and desk space. Powerful magnets and motor give adjustable stirring speeds from 100 to 1500 rpm, mixing large volumes up to fifteen litres. The hotplate has a single stirring position. Temperature is operator modifiable. The surface plate is Aluminum Silicon Alloy initiating energy efficient, fast and uniform heat transfer across the whole surface area, achieving a maximum temperature of 300C.
For user safety, a flashing warning light comes on once the temperature exceeds 50°C. The light will display up to half an hour after turning off.
Temperature and Stirring speed control is analogue operated by the dials at the front of the stirrer hotplate. Supplied complete with fitting for retort rod, 2 x 25mm PTFE coated stir bars and power cord.
