The Stuart CR302 Infra Red Hotplate Stirrer by Cole Parmer has square plate dimensions of 300mm by 300mm. The heated area is circular 140mm in diameter. Energy-efficient, 900 watts of heating power boils one litre of water 30% faster than a traditional ceramic model using 1200 watts, saving time. The maximum temperature is 450°C.
Suitable for stirring and heating larger liquid volumes to 15 litres, especially microbiological media. Single stirring position only. Powerful stirring is achieved using rare earth magnets; speed can be set between 100 to 1500 rpm.
The top plate is made from chemically resistant ceramic. Simple to clean and remains cool around the edges preventing accidental burns. When the heated ring exceeds 50°C in temperature, a visual flashing light displays warning the operator, which is still visible after turning off the unit if the power is connected.
Heating and stirring control are adjustable by analogue, using two dedicated knobs situated at the front of the stirring hotplate.
