The Stuart CB302 Stirring Hotplate by Cole Parmer has plate dimensions of 300mm by 300mm. Heated area is 200mm by 200mm. Power is 1.2kW. A small footprint design using less space and providing secure storage. Powerful magnets and motor give adjustable stirring speeds from 100 to 1500 rpm, mixing large volumes up to fifteen litres. The number of stirring positions is one. Heating is also adjustable; the surface plate is made from chemically resistant Glass Ceramic, allowing a maximum temperature of 450C. The plate properties allow for easy cleaning with the edges remaining cool to avoid accidental burns.
For operator safety, a flashing warning light comes on once the temperature exceeds 50°C. The light will display for up to 30 minutes after switch off.
Temperature and Stirring speed control is analogue operated by the knobs at the front of the stirrer hotplate. Supplied complete with fitting for retort rod, 2 x 25mm PTFE coated stir bars and power cord.
