The Stuart Aquatron Water Still A8000 by Cole Parmer produces eight litres of single distilled water in one hour. Supplied in a cabinet containing borosilicate glassware and silica sheathed heaters producing high purity pyrogen free distillate. The condenser is designed to give distilled droplets extended contact with a cooling coil, which transfers energy and provides cold distilled water ready for use.
Glass composition makes cleaning easy. A clean function and integral acid addition funnel remove the need to dismantle the glassware. Strong mineral acid provides fast descaling. Any cleaning chemicals can be drained using the large bore stopcock with PTFE key.
Unsupervised operation is possible with inbuilt safety features. Should the flow of water dip below operation threshold, detected by a flow level sensor, the still will shut down automatically to prevent overheating. When the reservoir is full of distilled water, a reservoir water level sensor switches off heating and coolant water supply. The process starts again automatically once the level is reduced. Located in the boiling chamber is an over-temperature thermostat. Also included acrylic screen and cabinet lid. For easy removal without damage, all water connections have screwed thread connections.
A8000 output 8 litres per hour single distilled water, suits a larger laboratory. Can be placed on a laboratory bench or wall-mounted- bracket supplied.
