The Soundear II provides a visual warning sign whenever a preset noise limit is reached. It displays green when monitoring, yellow when noise is getting loud, and red when the noise is too loud. It creates awareness without verbal warnings and reminds everyone to be quiet.
It offers 16 preset noise limits ranging from 45 to 115 dB, using the red wheel at the device’s bottom. Once the set level is exceeded, a red warning light flashes.
Applications include: Hospitals, waiting rooms, fitness centres, offices, schools and music venues. Research indicates noise levels above 50 dB delay patient recovery in hospitals.
Place it anywhere in a room; however, ensure the microphone at the bottom of the device is not obstructed. To mount on a wall, install it 150-200 cm above the floor, away from noisy machines or soft fabrics that may affect noise levels.
A data log that saves measurements for up to four weeks is available. The included computer program and data log display the last four weeks of measurements in a printable graph.
