There are six different models in the Radiodetection RD8100 range. Designed for locating pipes or cables underground and pre-entry checks before excavating an area. With population growth and modern technology, underground networks are widespread and their location to avoid accidental damage is critical. The RD8100 is a precision high-end locator designed to meet these challenges.
Five antennas allow the user to set the RD8100 to detect certain pipes or cables in the area. Models with usage logging and GPS capability allow data to be retrieved with reading location. Up to 1000 records can be stored and transferred to a PC or smart device wirelessly by Bluetooth.
All models feature iLOC, which links the transmitter to the RD8100 locator. The operator from up to 450m can remotely adjust the signal power and frequency. A high contrast display allows reading in beaming sunlight. Both depth and current are displayed to track the correct line; line voltage and resistance can also be read.
Locators are impact-resistant, dust and moisture immune IP65 rating.
All models have a 4 kHz frequency with an optional current direction (CD) locating high impedance cables over longer distances, assisted by a 90V transmitter output, receiving more signal giving deeper and longer distance location. Power Filters are included.
