The MSA ALTAIR 2X Gas Detector is a single or two gas detector that utilises XCell Sensor Technology for high performance and minimises ownership cost with long sensor life, durability, enhanced worker safety and compliance.
Models
ALTAIR 2XP Gas Detector – with XCell Pulse Technology for H2S detection. The first gas detector with a stand-alone bump test. When the detector is switched on, it automatically begins an electronic pulse check that activates the sensor catalyst and electrolyte interaction and makes minor corrections against initial calibration values. Next, the user exhales towards the sensor inlet to complete a flow check. An oxygen detector embedded in the sensor is only active during the pulse, and a flow check detects the drop in oxygen content of exhaled breath. If both of these checks pass, the detector passes the bump test. Calibration accessories or bottled calibration gas are not required for bump testing, producing significant savings.
ALTAIR 2XT – Two-Tox Gas Detector eliminates the need for two detectors by incorporating proven XCell Two-Tox Sensors, Dual toxic. These sensors detect two gases on distinct sensor channels with digital output that minimises cross channel interference.
ALTAIR 2X – Single-Gas Detector MSA revolutionised gas detection with XCell Sensor Technology. By miniaturising the sensors controlling electronics and placing them inside the sensor itself using MSA’s proprietary application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design, MSA XCell Sensors offer superior stability, accuracy, and sensor life.
