The Linesense DLI-2K Digital Location Interface (DLI) monitors the Linear Heat Detection (LHD) cable and, when activated, identifies the alarm’s location—providing detection and location along the complete length of the LHD cable. The distance in meters is then displayed on the 3½ digit LCD.
With the ability to monitor up to 2000 metres of LHD for both Fire and Fault conditions, the DLI enhances any fire detection capability and makes it ideal for applications such as road and rail tunnels or cable trays and conveyors. When used with Intrinsically Safe barriers, it can also be used for hazardous area applications.
The DLI offers flexible interfacing options; designed as a two-wire device for connecting directly to a conventional fire alarm panel, it also can signal via volt free relay contacts for Fire and Fault. Additionally, it has a 4-20 mA output representing 0m to 2000m. The effect of any field wiring can be subtracted at the commissioning stage; therefore, the display will only give readings for the zone being monitored.
