The SPM Flex Chemcassette Tape-Based Gas Detector has two variations: a wall-mounted version supplied with an installation bracket or a portable model with a handle and shoulder strap. It is designed for ultrasensitive gas detection of hydrides, fluorine oxidisers, mineral acids, oxidisers, amines, and more. To monitor a different gas, change the Chemcassette and select the target gas from the menu.
The SPM Flex includes a 3.5-inch flip screen that shows gas readings, alarm, fault, and status information via its backlit colour LCD and LEDs. A simple 4-button keypad adjacent to the display allows users to set up, review, operate, and change the detector’s configuration. The intuitive display and menu structure are designed to require minimal training. The SPM Flex has a local audio alarm with user-configurable output levels.

There are three onboard relays, a 4-20 mA analogue output, and Modbus/TCP outputs for signal and service connectivity. The gas detector has a USB port for configuration-sharing firmware updates and data downloads. For web-enabled devices, web pages are available via the Ethernet port.
