The Honeywell RAEGuard 2 PID Transmitter is a fixed photoionisation detector (PID) that detects volatile organic compounds (VOCs) suitable for safe and hazardous area use. A three-key magnetic bar user interface allows configuration in a hazardous area without opening the detector.
The DigiPID Sensor module includes a UV lamp and digital connector output for use with RAEGuard 2. The housing is made from explosion-proof 316 stainless steel with IP65 ingress protection. The sensor can easily be changed without tools within a zoned area, providing fast and cost-efficient maintenance. VOC detection ranges from 0.01 to 100 ppm, 0.1 to 1000 ppm, or 1 to 1000 ppm.
Models are available with an internal diaphragm pump providing flow-through; this gives a fast response time of T90 <30 seconds. The unit’s display indicates the current status by LED and is graphical. Three dry contact relays provide status, high and low alarm plus fault, which can activate building alarms and processes, compatible with Honeywell or third-party controllers.
