The FS20X is a Multi-Spectrum (UV/IR/IR/VIS) Flame Detector with a UV solar-blind sensor, maintaining fast response without false alarms over a broad temperature range. Designed for hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fuel fires in all environmental conditions. If the UV signal is impaired by smoke or lens dirt, the sensitivity is reduced, but the unit will still alarm.
The operating temperature range is -40° to 85°C with two housing choices: Copper-Free Aluminum or 316 Stainless Steel housing. Kit versions include a HART module.
Features
- Detection range greater than 60 m (200 feet) to 0.1 m2 (1 sq. ft.) heptane fire.
- Units include a real-time clock with data logging up to 200 events with historical time and date data.
- Optical path and electric self-testing.
- Visual indicators: green is power, red alarm, yellow fault.
- Sensitivity: very high (60m), high (45m), medium (30m) and low (15m) – switch selectable.
- Analogue output 0 – 20 mA stepped-source or sink user-selectable.
- Output Relays Alarm, Fault and Fire.
- Dual Microprocessors: one handles samples and signals, and the other is for data, diagnostics and storage.
- FirePic Up to 6 pre-fire event data storage.
- Two ¾” NPT or 25mm conduit entries.
- Power 24 volt DC – low power consumption.
- Enclosure IP66.
- Approvals: FM, cFM, ATEX, IECEx, En54-10 and SIL 2 complaint.
Communication
One of the following – user selectable:
- RS-485, ModBus Protocol.
- RS-485, FireBus II.
- RS-485 Special (optional).
- HART, Optional plug-in module (not available on EN54-10 units).
This series replaces the SS4-A2, SS4-AS2 and SS2-AM models.
