The General Monitors TL105 is a battery-operated, rechargeable test lamp specifically designed to test General Monitors’ UV, UV/IR and IR flame detectors. The test lamp provides a high-energy, broadband radiation source that emits sufficient energy in both the ultraviolet and infrared spectra to activate UV and/or IR flame detectors. The test lamp automatically flashes at various selectable rates to simulate a fire.
The TL105 Test Lamp is designed for use in Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups C and D areas. The test lamp functions on internal nickel-metal hydride batteries, which allow continuous operation for at least 30 minutes when fully charged. An internal circuit prevents operation when the battery charge is low.
A variety of flashing test patterns, selectable through a rotary switch, allows the test lamp to check the operation of General Monitors flame detectors, including the FL5000, FL500/FL500-H2, FL4000 series, and FL3000/3100 series detectors. When the specific flashing pattern for a given type of flame detector is appropriately selected, the test lamp triggers the alarm or test mode.
