TSI Quest EVM Environmental Monitors, formerly by 3M, provide a combined solution for monitoring particles, gas concentrations, volatile organic compounds, relative humidity, temperature and air velocity. Separate analysers are no longer needed, reducing the equipment burden.
Operation is menu-driven, using ten push buttons and four soft keys. Options are displayed on a backlit LCD 128 x 64 display.
An integrated light scattering photometer with a built-in sample pump provides real-time particulate measurement of 0.1-10 μm. Dial-in technology allows four particle sizes to be chosen without switching external cyclones. PM2.5, PM4, PM10, and PM. (PM is unfiltered particulate all sizes). Data logging is included, logging intervals in seconds 1, 5, 15, 30, minutes 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60. The data can be used with detection management software compatible with other instruments to create a common platform. Retrieve data, create reports and charts, and configure the EVM environmental monitor.
Three models in this range:
- EVM-3 Particulate Monitor only, measuring particles, temperature, relative humidity, and air velocity can optionally be added.
- EVM-4 Indoor Air Quality only, no particulates, measures temperature, relative humidity, air velocity (extra), Carbon Dioxide, and one toxic gas sensor.
- EVM-7 Has all the functionality of both models combined above but also measures volatile organic compounds.
The toxic sensor addition for the EVM-4 and EVM-7 models is a choice of the following: Carbon Monoxide, Chlorine, Ethylene Oxide, Hydrogen Cyanide, Hydrogen Sulfide, Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Oxygen and Sulfur Dioxide.
