The Stuart CB300 Hotplate by Cole Parmer has plate dimensions of 300mm by 300mm. Heated area is 200mm by 200mm. Heated power is 1.2kW. The plate is constructed from chemically resistant Glass Ceramic, allowing high temperatures, maximum up to 450C. The ceramic composition enables the heat to stay cool around the perimeter preventing accidental burns.
The large surface area allows heating of a large vessel, up to 10 litres capacity or several smaller ones. Once the surface temperature rises above 50°C, an intermittent light automatically switches on, warning the operator. The light will continue to display until the temperature reduces, even if the hotplate is switched off, providing mains power is connected.
Temperature control is analogue operated by the knob at the hotplate’s front.
