TSI QUESTemp Series Heat Stress Monitors manage heat stress in the workplace to avoid heat exhaustion, rash, severe thirst, fainting and heat stroke. The instruments use Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) technology, the standard parameter in heat stress measurement, which considers several factors to determine the actual heat stress on personnel. These include temperature, humidity, wind speed (chill factor), plus radiation heat sources from equipment or the sun.
QT32, QT34 and QT36 are supplied with the following: wet bulb, dry bulb, globe and relative humidity sensors. The QT36 can have an optional Air Velocity Probe added.
QUESTemp models QT34 and Q36 have data logging capability readings that can be retrieved, analysed and used with Quest Detection Management Software, a standard platform compatible with other detection instruments.
Establish if heat stress guidance is needed
Optimise work and rest routines
Ascertain Head-Torso-Ankle weighted average WBGT requires additional tri-sensors
Suitable for use indoors or outdoors, ingress protection IP54
Disposable batteries have 140-hour operation or NiMH rechargeable battery 300 hours
Durably designed for challenging environments and regular use
Previously supplied by 3M
Ten minutes needs to be allowed for sensor stabilisation; the monitor should be placed around 3.5 feet off the ground.
