Drager Parat 1 and 2 escape devices are now obsolete; the replacement models are the Parat 3100 and Parat 3200
Parat 1 is a half-mask arrangement, and the Parat 2 has a mouthpiece for insertion with a noise clip. Both are designed for 15-minute emergency escape and have an inbuilt ABEK Filter for single use only. On donning, the user is protected from a range of toxic gases and vapours, enabling safe escape without health damage or fatality.
The Parat 1 features a two-point harness for quick operation and is easy to use. The Parat 2 includes a nose clip that restricts unfiltered air intake during an escape. Both models are approved under EN 141.
Devices come with a hard case for durability and are compact: 11 x 15 x 8cm (Height x Length x Width), weighing only 240 grams. The case features a transparent cover for unit inspection and includes a clip for wearing.
Both units have a filter life of four years; with replacement, the overall life can be extended to eight years.
