TSI mass flow meters are designed for Laboratory, Industry or Medical applications demanding high accuracy and a choice of data output options. The sensor uses proprietary platinum film to measure gas flow.
There are nine TSI mass flow meters, falling into two types; the high flow 4000 range, 0-300 L/min and the low flow 4100 series 0.01-20 L/min. All models are calibrated for air, additional calibrations for Oxygen and Nitrogen are available for both types. Low flow models can have Nitrous Oxide calibrations.
Two outputs are included analogue 0-10 VDC flow only, zero and span adjustable via RS232 and digital RS232 output.
Accuracy is ±2% at full-scale flow rate reading. If a full scale is 300 L/min, then the uncertainty for all readings is ±6 L/min. One TSI flow meter covers the same range as three or more “percent of full scale” devices, with better accuracy at all points. The rapid four-millisecond response gives accuracy when the flow is variable. This fast response time is ideal for closed-loop control systems and integrated volume measurements. Pressure and temperature measurements are also fast. A low-pressure drop minimises flow circuit back pressure and its impact on the system under test.
