3M Scott Safety RAS is used for connecting to a Sabre Airline hose system by a CEN connection. The set includes a back harness with a positive pressure valve. A filtration canister can be fitted to a facemask by DIN40 fitting.
The RAS Asbestos version consists of an AA grade filter removing particles down to 0.01 microns from the inline medium pressure air supply hose that may have entered during connection. The Asbestos version also includes a medium pressure warning whistle and bandolier style webbed harness, which is easily cleanable to avoid contamination.
With the filter canister applied to the mask, the user can approach the working area where oxygen is plentiful. In more contaminated environments where advanced respiratory protection is needed, such as asbestos removal, connect to the airline supply and use the filter on egress.
Mask for RAS set to be also ordered, compatible with Scott’s Promask PP, Vision 3 and PanaSeal facemasks.
