The Honeywell Satellite XT is a fixed gas monitor for point-of-use gas detection. Small reliable interchangeable electrochemical MST sensors allow the detection of Toxic, Oxygen, Flammable and Corrosive gases.
Simple to use, the operation is by a six-touch-sensitive membrane keypad. The gas concentration is displayed locally on the screen. The settings for alarm levels are automatically transferred on sensor install. In addition, the operator can configure gas type, alarms and maintenance. The unit is compact and can be din rail mounted for easy installation.
A Pyrolyzer Module is available, which converts gas into mineral acids facilitating the detection of gases with Fluorine properties. An optional extraction module provides flow control allowing deployment in harsh or remote areas and duct detection by drawing gas to the sensor for measurement. Satellite XT applications include gas cabinets, rooms containing gas cylinders, ambient air safety, valve manifold boxes, gas cabinet exhaust deducts and equipment housed beneath waffle slabs.
There are two models in the range available, the digital version, denoted by model code FTT and the analogue version, 4-20 mA. Digital versions use the Lonworks platform, which facilitates communication between other Lonworks devices. All models monitor gas in real-time and include an output for a controller or building management system. Relay models are available on both versions, denoted by the letter R. Models with the letter C monitor combustible gases and vapours; these versions use catalytic sensors and are factory calibrated for methane.
