Designed for when resilience matters most, the Vortex FP and Vortex FP Compact are ATEX-certified Exd Flameproof gas detector control panels, ideal for use in hazardous areas such as on offshore production platforms or refineries. Alongside the standard Vortex features, Vortex FPs have a display that allows interrogation without opening the system enclosure for enhanced durability.
Simple to Use
- All day-to-day operations can be completed via push buttons on the front panel, removing the requirement for hot-work permits to complete everyday tasks.
- Fault and alarm LEDs on the front panel provide an instant indication of system status.
- Alarm and channel settings can be adjusted from the front panel.
Highly Flexible
- Available in two sizes, including a compact format for use in areas where space is a limiting factor.
- Uses Vortex PC software, which allows easy customisation and is user-friendly.
- Uses industry-standard Modbus RTU (or optionally Profibus) communications links, which is simple to integrate with PLC, DCS or SCADA control systems.
Robust and Reliable
- Water and dust resistant to IP66.
- All relays are monitored continuously, ensuring full functionality and compliance.
- Fireproof and highly durable.
Compatible with smoke/heat detectors and flame detectors, three input channels can be utilised for fire detection. Vortex FP utilises standard Vortex control modules and thus provides up to 32 programmable output relays (16 relays maximum on the Compact version). Vortex FP features a display fitted with magnetic switches, which enable the system to be interrogated or inhibited without opening the system enclosure.
All day-to-day operations can be completed via push buttons on the front panel, removing the requirement for hit-work permits to complete everyday tasks. Instant indication of system status is provided by the fault and alarm LEDs on the front panel, with all relays monitored continuously.
Customisation is easy and user-friendly using Vortex PC software. For remote non-intrusive calibration and configuration, it uses industry-standard Modbus RTU communication links, with an option to modify this to Profibus, making it compatible with various control systems.
